We give 100%
Glass Act Recycling exists because of the dedicated Central Louisiana residents who believe in its mission to eliminate glass from our landfills. Since its inception on March 4, 2022, this all-volunteer-driven nonprofit has created hope for Central Louisiana citizens. Glass Act Recycling volunteers educate the public about how the threat posed by excess food-grade glass debris contributes to the depletion of available land designated for all kinds of waste storage. The good news is “Glass is Not Trash!” We turn it into usable, sellable products!

We prove it – Bring in Your Glass!
Volunteers are there to welcome and assist residents from surrounding areas who drop off glass, carboard, aluminum, and metal at our center at 5215 Leo St. in Alexandria, LA. Glass Act fills a huge void in household or commercial glass collection as the only site that collects glass from all across the Central Louisiana region. This “one-stop-for-all” appeal draws in more environmentally conscious residents from 12 parishes (60 zip codes)

We think local - and long-term
Glass Act needs your time, your talents, and your monetary donations! We offer two options for those wanting to participate in glass recycling as a volunteer. The first option starts at the Glass Act warehouse collection center. Anyone can freely drop off household, or commercial glass (homes, restaurants/bars) Volunteers receive the glass, weigh it, sort it, and crush it all at the center which is open from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm on Friday and Saturday mornings.

It's time to take action.

Donations are the backbone of our organization. We couldn’t do what we do if it wasn’t for your generosity. So please, help us reduce waste by donating to the cause!
